Abstract
The present Decree approves the amendment of the Regulation on waste management, the objective of which is that all collection, transport and temporary storage of hazardous waste are carried out protecting the health of people and the natural environment.
This Regulation applies to all hazardous waste-producing activities and to the management of such waste. Radioactive waste is excluded from the application of this Regulation.
The Regulation sets rules on the obligations lying upon the hazardous waste owners; on the Register of hazardous waste producers; on the transport and storage of such waste and on the containers for this use; on the labelling of hazardous waste; on the hazardous waste control book containing all information regarding such waste; on the annual declaration on hazardous waste; on the monitoring and control documents.
The text is completed by 4 annexes on features allowing the classification of waste as hazardous; on the properties allowing to classify as hazardous the waste that contains dangerous substances; on the list of reference activities for the registration of hazardous waste producers; on the dangerous symbols and indications to be used for hazardous waste.
