Decree of 5 June 2019 on the structure of the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability.

This Decree establishes the structure of the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture and Sustainability. The Ministry ensures compliance with the constitutional mandate that establishes as the function of the State to ensure the rational use of land and all its natural resources, in order to guarantee the quality of life of citizens and maintain for future generations a rational ecological balance of the atmosphere, water and land, and defend native flora and fauna, in accordance with article 31 of the Constitution. In this sense, this Ministry assumes the powers attributed in general matters of agriculture, environment and sustainability; among others, water, the atmospheric environment, the circular economy, environmental prevention and control and industrial quality and safety; protection and conservation of the natural environment, biodiversity and landscape, and energy and climate change. The Ministry exercises the functions attributed to it by the Andorran legal system throughout the national territory and exercises the corresponding representations at an international level, mainly through multilateral and bilateral agreements in the same areas of action.
