Cabinet Resolution No.27 of 2021 amending some provisions of Cabinet Resolution No.37 of 2001 on the Executive Regulations of Federal Law No.24 of 1999 on Protection and Development of the Environment.

This Resolution aims at amending the Environmental Impact Assessment System for Projects, Facilities, and Activities, consisting of 14 articles and annexed to the Resolution. It is stipulated that the Environmental license applicant must apply to either the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment or the competent Authority to obtain the Environmental License. The measures that the Ministry or the competent Authority can adopt are indicated in Article 6. The owner of the installation or project must carry out periodic analysis of environmental pollutants and waste and keep for a 5-year period a record in this regard (art.9).
