Law No. 17 of 2005 concerning the establishment of Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company.

This Law establishes in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company as a Public Joint Stock Company. The Company shall be responsible for functioning of sewerage utilities and private facilities under its control and for the collection, treatment and recycling of sewerage and the maintenance and development of the sewerage utilities and private facilities in the Emirate. In addition, the Law charges the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority with the control and development of the Emirate's policies concerning the sewerage sector and its privatization.
The Company shall operate under a licence issued by the Regulation and Supervision Bureau for the water and electricity sector and in accordance with the conditions attached to the licence.
