Abstract
This Regulation consisting of 18 articles aims at providing for all stages of production, processing, distribution, importation and exportation of food and feed. It establishes that the concerned Authority has the right to trace, recall and withdraw any food, feed, food-producing animals, and any other substance incorporated into a food or feed shall at all stages of production, processing, distribution, importation and exportation. The food and feed business operators: shall have in place systems and procedures which identify any person from whom they have been supplied with a food; to identify the other businesses to which their products have been supplied to; ensure that food or feed which is placed on the market shall be adequately labelled or identified to facilitate its traceability; maintain records (the Regulation specifies the periods) in relation to food or feed supplied to or by the food or feed business operator. The Regulation deals also with: procedures to be followed in case of suspected danger to human health or non-compliance with the food safety requirements or feed safety requirements. Responsible body is the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority.
