Abstract
This law aims to regulate and improve healthcare services, ensuring access to quality medical care for all citizens. The law defines the responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) in overseeing health programs, regulating medical institutions, and ensuring public health standards. Key provisions include: Health Services Regulation; Disease Prevention & Control; Maternal & Child Health; Medicines & Medical Products and Health Rights & Responsibilities. The law also establishes health financing mechanisms and penalties for violations of public health standards. It serves as a foundation for Afghanistan’s healthcare system, aiming to improve public health outcomes and ensure sustainable healthcare services. The law consists of 34 Articles divided into 8 Chapters.
