Abstract
This Act amends the Antigua and Barbuda Merchant Shipping Act, 2006 in provisions concerning the nationality and identification of Antigua and Barbuda ships and the employment on board of ships. The Act increases penalties imposed by the principal Act in relation with unlawful assumption of the Antigua and Barbuda identity by foreign ships or concealment of identity by a ship registered in Antigua and Barbuda.

An Act to amend the Antigua and Barbuda Merchant Shipping Act, 2006 so as to provide increased penalties for offences under the Act, to introduce new offences for non-compliance with the terms of the Act, to increase the rime limit within which proceedings for offences must be brought, to a new matters on which regulations, rules and directives may be made, to increase the minimum age at which children may be employed as seafarers and for incidental and connected matters
