Companies (Amendment) Act (No. 17 of 2020).

This Act makes amendments in sections 236, 238, 241 and 336A of the principal Act. It also inserts new Part VI which lays down provisions on the power of court; extension of time for the debtor; case administration; appointment, role, capacity and duties of an administrator; use, sale, or lease of property; obtaining credit; executory contracts and unexpired leases; filing of proofs of creditor’s or debtor's claims or interests; determination of tax liability; debtors’ duties; protection against discriminatory treatment; powers and duties of creditor’s committees; filing a plan and its contents; confirmation of plan by the court; and special tax provisions.
