Abstract
This Order prohibits the importation, distribution, sales and use of shopping plastic bags after the 30th June, 2016. The types of plastic bags exempted from prohibition are listed in the Schedule. Furthermore, the Minister may designate as exempted any other shopping plastic bag from the prohibition. This Order repeals the External Trade (Import Prohibition) Order, 2016, S.I. No 16 of 2016.
