Decision nr. 403 dated 19 June 2024 on the approval of the regulation "Permitted levels of radionuclides in water for human consumption for the protection of public health".

This Decision aims at: a) determining requirements for the protection of public health, in relation to radionuclides in water for human consumption; b) determining allowed values, frequencies and methods for monitoring radionuclides in water for human consumption. Water for human consumption is water that includes the following: a) treated or untreated waters, determined for the purpose of drinking, cooking, preparation of food and hygiene needs, regardless of their origin and whether they are supplied by a distribution network, public or private, from the tank, or packaged in bottle or container; b) water used in food production enterprises for production, fabrication, processing, storage or trading of products or materials designated for use by people, except when the Food Control Agency assesses that the water quality cannot affect the quality of the food in its final form.
