Decision nr. 449 dated 3 July 2024 on detailed rules for the registration of chemicals by manufacturers and importers, the obligations to report to the Electronic Registry of Chemicals, as well as the maintenance of the registry of chemicals.

This Decision here defines necessary rules and procedures for the rules for the registration of chemicals aimed for authorized manufacturers and importers or traders. This text further sets related obligations in terms of necessary reporting to the Electronic Registry of Chemicals, as well as issues regarding the consequential maintenance of such registry of chemicals. All producers and importers that are based on the territory of the Republic of Albania have the obligation to register in the Electronic Register of Chemicals, which is created and maintained by the national Chemicals Office. Chemical data regarding plant protection products, fertilizing products and biocidal products shall be registered by the responsible authorities, according to specific dedicated legislation in force.
