Guideline No. 107 on the creation, reproduction, processing, marketing, assessment and conservation of plant genetic material.

This Guideline lays down rules and technical requirements for the production, multiplying, processing, marketing, inspection, conservation and treatment of plant genetic material, produced in Albania or imported. Plant genetic material encompasses all types of cultivated plant seeds and all types of seedlings, including forestry and ornamental plants. The Guideline consists of 11 Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Plant genetic material classification; (III) Reproduction rights and multiplying of plant genetic material; (IV) Seeds and seedlings marketing; (V) Quality control of plant genetic material; (VI) Testing of varieties; (VII) Conservation system for plant genetic resources and functioning of the genetic bank; (VIII) Packaging, conservation and labelling of plant genetic material; (IX) Sampling for official analysis; (X) Central Laboratory for seed testing; (XI) Final provisions. Models of forms envisaged in the Guideline are attached.
