Law No. 8732 plant genetic material.

The present Law lays down rules applicable to the creation, reproduction, multiplying, processing and trading of plant genetic material in Albania. The Law is composed of six Chapters: (I) Goals and definitions; (II) Creation, reproduction and multiplying of plant genetic material; (III) Trade of plan genetic material; (IV) Procedures for the quality control and evaluation of plant genetic material; (V) Administrative offences, (VI) Final Provisions. The main institutions responsible for enforcing this Law shall be the State Committee of the Varieties Attestation and the State Entity of Seeds and Seedlings, under the authority of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
