Abstract
The Guideline No.62 of 2018 sets out requirements regarding the enforcement of animal elimination measures and the documentation required to be prepared in such cases. After the elimination is approved the animal must be eliminated within 72 hours by euthanasia. The procedure must be implemented by an approved veterinary. The veterinary units of the local government are responsible for the carcasses disposal in compliance with the rules and requirements laid down in the guideline’s annexes. Templates of the documentation to be prepared are also found in the annexes. The Department of Deregulation, Permits, Licensing and Monitoring, the regional agricultural departments, and the veterinary units at local level are responsible for the guideline implementation.
