Abstract
This Instruction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Consumer Protection lays down the rules for the slaughtering animals used for breeding, production of food, wool, leather, or other products, as well as slaughtering for depopulation or similar purposes.
The Instruction provides for slaughtering methods, specific requirements for each method, slaughterhouses’ planning, construction and equipment, and for rules of procedure.
The Instruction consists of 7 Chapters: Purpose (I); General requirements (II); Additional requirements applicable to slaughterhouses (III); Depopulation and emergency elimination (IV); Duties of the Directorate of Veterinary Services (V); Violations and sanctions (VI); Application and entry into force (VII).
