Law No. 10109 on the maritime administration of the Republic of Albania.

This Law lays down rules regarding the organization and functioning of the maritime administration of the Republic of Albania. It consists of the following five Chapters: (I) General provisions; (II) Responsible authority and structures for the organization and functioning of the Maritime Administration; (III) The General Maritime Department; (IV) Maritime activities and its licensing; (V) Final provisions. The General Maritime Department, under the Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Telecommunications, is the responsible authority regarding the enforcement of this Law, the development of related policies and its monitoring. The Department is composed of the following units: a) The General Maritime Department; b) The State Authority for the Ports Safety; c) Ports Captainship; d) Ports State Control; e) Flag State Control, f) The Register of Sailing Means of the Republic of Albania; and g) The Register of Sailors of the Republic of Albania.
