Law No. 8111 amending Law No. 7846 of 1994 on the construction, administration, maintenance and exploitation of the irrigation and drainage systems.

The present Law lays down some amendments to Law No. 7846 of 1994 on the construction, administration, maintenance and exploitation of irrigation and drainage systems. In particular, it amends articles 3, 4, 7, 9, 13, 14, 20, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30 and 31. The amendments mainly concern the definitions of the irrigation and drainage systems, water users associations’ rights and responsibilities and the maintenance and exploitation of irrigation and drainage systems. It also increases the fines imposed for administrative offences.
