Law No. 8702 on the identification and registration of animals and livestock farms.

This Law regulates animal movement and identification. It lays down provisions on the registration of livestock farms to enable efficient data exchange regarding the location of animals for veterinary and livestock production purposes. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food is responsible for implementing the animal identification and livestock farms registration programme. The registration and identification procedures will be laid down by secondary legislation.
