Law No. 8977 of 2002 on tariff system in the Republic of Albania.

The Law lays down the national tariff system in the Republic of Albania, types and amounts of tariffs, the procedures for their calculation, cashing, and transfer in state budget, as well as obligations of the agents. The Law covers only national tariffs while the local ones are regulated by special law. Among the twenty three types of national tariffs, the law provides for: fees for the exercise of fishing activities; taxes on mining royalties; and taxes on plastic packaging of liquids, produced in the country and imported, to products as water, soft drinks, fruit and vegetable juices, milk and its by-products, food oils, lubricating oils and detergents.
