Law No. 9975 of 2008 on the national tariff system.

This Law lays down the new national tariff system applicable in the Republic of Albania, types and amounts of tariffs, the procedures of their calculation, cashing, and transfer in state or local government budgets, as well as the obligations of the national tariff agents. The national tariffs include: port taxes; annual circulation tax for vehicles; environmental taxes which include the import tax for used vehicles, the carbon tax, and the tax of plastic packaging; taxes for mineral rent; taxes of acts and stamps; taxes for registration of fortune games, national lottery, sport predictions, casinos and sport competitions organized in hippodrome; and taxes for fishing activities.
