Law No. 9868 amending and supplementing Law No. 8906 of 2002 on protected areas.

This Law amends and supplements Law No. 8906 as regards categories of protected areas. It introduces (i) the conditions to be met by a territory in order to be designated as protected area, (ii) the requirements for determining its boundaries and (iii) the procedure for the designation of special protected areas and regional natural parks.
