Law No. 9973 of 2008 amending and supplementing Law No. 8025 of 1995 concerning protection against ionic radiation.

This Law lays down several amendments and addenda to Law No. 8025 of 1995 concerning protection against ionic radiation. All licenced legal entities and individuals are responsible for providing safety and protection from ionic radiation and for implementing the obligations established by these provisions. Ionic radiation resources users are obliged to send for technical inspection all the ionic radiating equipment according to the criteria established in the respective guidelines. The Radiation Protection Committee is the national authority under the Ministry of Health responsible for the implementation of these provisions.
