Abstract
This Order, aims at implementing the Resolution of the Fisheries General Commission on the Mediterranean No. GFCM/41/2017/6, on the application of IMO Number. Pursuant to point 4, Article 102 of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, Articles 3 and 5 of Law No. 9093 of 3 July 2003 “On the Ratification of the Agreement Establishing the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean”, Law No. 64/2012 of 31 May 2012 “On fishing”, as amended. It regulates IMO Number of all Albanian fishing vessels above 24 m within 30 September 2019. Vessels which have not been provided with an IMO Number within the established time limit shall not be permitted to engage in any fishing activity. The application is free and available on the IMO website https://imonumbers.ihs.com. The Directorate of Agriculture Development, Food Safety and Rural Development and the Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture Services are responsible for the implementation of this Order.
