Abstract
This Order determines that the equipment with IMO number (unique ship identification number), of all Albanian fishing vessels with a length equal to or greater than 15 m, has to be installed by 31 January 2022. Vessels that have not been equipped with an IMO number within the above-mentioned deadline are prohibited from fishing outside the territorial waters of the Republic of Albania. The application is free and is made on the IMO or through the General Maritime Directorate. All vessels that in their fishing permit are authorized to carry out fishing activities outside the territorial waters of the Republic of Albania and that are not equipped with IMO numbers, must submit the request to the Fisheries Inspectorate.
