Abstract
This Regulation concerns dams and barrages, subject to Law No. 8681 of 2002. Its purpose is to increase the safety of dams and barrages during the phases of design, construction, use and maintenance in order to meet requirements established for the exploitation of water resources. The Regulation consists of five Chapters: (I) General provisions and institutional framework; (II) Design; (III) Construction; (IV) Use and maintenance; (V) Abandonment of dams.
