Abstract
This Law establishes the legal and institutional framework for the design, construction, use and maintenance of dams and barrages. It consists of four Chapters: (I) General Provisions; (II) Responsible State authorities; (III) Design of dams and barrages; (IV) Ownership and use. The National Committee of Large Dams is the highest inspection body and represents the Albanian State in the International Commission of Large Dams. The Technical Council for Dams performs advisory tasks.
