Regulation No. 177 dated 6.3.2012 on packaging and their residues.

The Regulation aims to protect, preserve and improve the environment quality and the human health through minimizing the negative effects of the packaging materials and their waste. The Regulation includes sections on the scope of service, production of packaging, measures for the prevention of package waste, requirements for the production and composition of packaging, acceptable levels of heavy metals concentration in packaging, system of marking and identification of packaging, reusage of packaging waste, recycling and recuperation, and monitoring and reporting.
