Abstract
The Law aims to ensure the protection of environment and human health against pollution and damage resulting from solid waste. To this end, it sets out rules governing the environmental treatment of solid wastes at every stage: creation, collection, separation, transportation, recycling, processing and disposal. The Law further aims at waste reduction and the reduction of the hazardous and dangerous impact of waste. It includes the following Chapters: General Provisions (I), Integrated Management Plans (II), General Requirements (III), Integrated Management of Waste (VI), Integrated Management of Hazardous Waste (V), Specific waste (VI), Waste Land-filling (VII), Waste Burning (VIII), Waste Import and Export (IX), Technical Norms (X), Environmental Permits (XI), Licensing of Activities for the Integrated Management of Waste (XII), Waste Statistics (XIII), Prohibitions, Sanctions and Punishment (XIV), Regulatory Articles (XV) and Final Provisions(XVI).
