Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation is to determine the criteria, the rules of procedure, and the testing methods for plant varieties in order to assess their distinctiveness, uniformity, and stability as well as their usage and cultivation value.
The Regulation consists of the following Chapters: General Provisions (I); Criteria of distinctiveness, uniformity, and stability (II); Conditions to be met by the subject applying for variety registration in the National Catalogue (III); Rules of procedure and methods for the variety testing (IV); Data Processing and Dossier Preparation for the Varieties’ Evaluation Committee (V); Final Provisions (VI).
The Regulation is partially approximated with the Council Directive 2002/53/EC of 13 June 2002 on the common catalogue of varieties of agricultural plant species.
