Regulation No. 336 date 6.6.2018 approving detailed rules on the production, transfer, exceptions, and inspection of plant products and sea algae.

Regulation No. 336 of 2018 lays down detailed rules on the production, transfer, exceptions, and inspection of organic plant products and sea algae. The regulation is composed of the following chapters: I/I- General Provisions, II/I- Plant Production regulating land management and fertilization, pesticides, diseases, and special rules for mushroom production, II/II Sea Algae Production regulating sustainable management plans, sustainable harvesting, cultivation, and production machinery cleaning , II/III Exceptions to Plant Production, III/Transfer Rules for Plants, Plant Products, and Sea Algae, IV/I - Detailed inspection rules for the plants and plant products produced or gathered in a farm, and IV/II- Detailed inspection rules for the sea algae. Regarding governance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, its inspection departments, Food Authority, and State Inspectorate for Environment, Forestry, and Waters are responsible for the Regulation implementation. The regulation is partially approximated with Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 of 28 June 2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products.
