Abstract
The purpose of this Regulation is to lay down requirements concerning the production and trade of ornamental plants' genetic material, the requirements for the suppliers, the packaging and labelling as well as the rules and the rules of procedure of the certification process. The regulation is applicable on all species enlisted in Annex 1 of the Regulation.
The Regulation is partially approximated with the Council Directive 98/56/EC of 20 July 1998 on the marketing of propagating material of ornamental plant.
The Regulation consists of five Chapters: General Provisions (I); Requirements for the trade of plant genetic material and sampling (II); Requirements for suppliers (III); Requirements for the certification of the genetic material and samplings of ornamental plants (IV); Transitory and Final Provisions (V).
