Abstract
The Regulation lays down a system of measures for the trade of fishery products aiming at preventing, discouraging and eliminating the illegal, unreported and unregulated fishery. It’s composed of two Chapters: I- General Provisions and II- Certifications needed for the import and export of the fishery products. Several annexes specifying the products not included in the ‘fishery products’ definition are attached. A Model Catch Certificate is also attached to the Regulation. This Regulation underlines that the export of fishery products obtained from IUU fisheries is prohibited and therefore fishery products shall only be exported when they are accompanied by a catch certificate in accordance with this Regulation.
