Government Decision No. 338-N validating Management Plan of the Ararat Basin Area for 2016-2021 and Priority Measures for Effective Management.

The goal of the Ararat Basin Management Plan is to balance the interrelated relations of water users, including agriculture, fisheries, industry, energy and the environment, as well as to support the bodies responsible for water resources management, administrative bodies and the public in making decisions in the field of water resources, and ultimately their rational and efficient use. Usable water resources, strategic and national water resources of the Ararat water cut are defined in Table 1. The projected change in water supply in the river basins of the Ararat water retention for the years 2016-2021 and the prospective year 2040 is presented according to Table 2. The trends of water supply and water demand in the Ararat water cut until 2021, according to the basic and optimistic scenarios of the water use sectors, are presented according to Tables NN 3 and 4.
