Government Decision No. 64 validating standards for sanitary protection of water ecosystems, flow formation, groundwater protection, water protection, ecotone and definition of areas of water conservation zones.

This Government Decision defines the standards for the sanitary protection of water ecosystems, flow formation, groundwater protection, water conservation, ecotone and water conservation zones in the national territory, except for the standards for defining the areas of sanitary protection zones for water resources used by the population for drinking and health purposes, which are defined by the state authorized body of health care in accordance with the procedure established by the national legislation. The actual sizes and boundaries of the areas of sanitary protection of water ecosystems, flow formation, underground water protection, water protection, ecotone and water conservation zones, based on the characteristics of each water resource, will be defined through the implementation of field work within the framework of the National Water Program.
