Abstract
Land Code shall be supplemented with Article 6.1 of the following wording: “Land cover is the observable biophysical cover of the earth's surface. Land cover is classified as follows: (a) cultivated land - land used for cultivation of agricultural crops; it includes arable land with perennial plants, and in urban land horticultural land, and, partially, within forest land, arable land; (b) meadows - part of the land area, which is covered with herbaceous vegetation, including partially agricultural land, in particular, grasslands, pastures, land of protected areas and forest land classified as grasslands and pastures; (c) tree-covered areas - part of the land area, which is covered with tree species, including land of protected areas and forested land; (d) shrubland areas - part of the land area covered with shrub vegetation, including protected areas of land fund and, partially forest land covered by shrubbery; (e) flooded areas - part of the land area, which is occupied by waterbodies (rivers, natural resources, artificial reservoirs and lakes), include the water land of the land fund; (f) areas devoid of vegetation, including agricultural land, in particular urban agricultural land, common use land (public land used for industry, energy, communication, transport, communal infrastructure) and reserve land. The procedure for classification of land area coverage shall be approved by the Republic of Armenia the government.”
