Order No 164 of the Ministry of Agriculture “On defining the seed production scheme in the RA”.

This Order establishes plant cultivation scheme related to cereals, vegetables, oleaginous plants and grasses. It classifies seed cultivation sequence (scheme) in the following order: (a) test nursery of the first year; (b) test nursery of the second year; (c) propagation nursery, from which pre-ground (original) seeds are obtained; (d) super elite (basic) seeds - seeds obtained from pre-basic seeds; (e) elite (basic) seeds - seeds obtained from super-elite seeds; (f) seeds of the 1st reproduction - seeds obtained from elite seeds; and (g) seeds of the second reproduction - seeds obtained from the seeds of the 1st reproduction. It also establishes the following sequence (scheme) of potato seed cultivation: (a) pre-planting (original) planting material – planting material obtained by elective of meristematic or tuberous plants; (b) superelite (basic) planting material - planting material obtained from pre-basic planting material; (c) elite (basic) planting material - planting material obtained from super elite planting material; (d) planting material of the 1st reproduction - planting material obtained from elite planting material; and (e) planting material of the 2nd reproduction - planting material obtained from the planting material of the 1st reproduction.
