Protocol implementing CIS cooperation agreement in the sphere of hydrometeorology.

The present Protocol sets up CIS Intergovernmental Council on Hydrometeorology. The Council shall be guided in its activity by the Statute of CIS, International Agreements and the present Protocol and shall carry out the following functions: (a) policy coordination in the sphere of hydrometeorology; (b) data collection, reporting and exchange of hydrometeorological information, especially in case of natural disasters; (c) intergovernmental projects in the field of environmental monitoring; (d) research related to climate change and depletion of ozone layer.
