Executive Decree No. 370/20 approving the Regulation of the Council for Integrated Management of Aquatic Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the Council for Integrated Management of Aquatic Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries. This Regulation, consisting of 21 articles divided into four Chapters, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned advisory body of the Ministry of Agriculture for consultation related to the Planning and Management of Fisheries and Aquaculture Resources. In particular, the Council is responsible for: giving its opinion on the inter-sectoral measures for the development of the Fisheries Sector; issuing opinions on the draft legislation related to the aquatic environment and the sustainable use of aquatic biological resources; issuing opinions on the strategies of sectoral control and enforcing measures to protect the aquatic environment and resources; promoting inter-sectoral information on environment; pronouncing the inter-sectoral strategies and actions resulting from national and international cooperation for aquatic resources; giving its opinion on the inter-sectoral measures ensuring the scientific research in the field of the aquatic environment and the sustainable exploitation of aquatic and salt resources; technology transfer, their use, dissemination and incentive for the fishing industry; issuing its opinion on the adoption of hygiene and sanitary standards inherent to the production, processing and marketing of fisheries, aquaculture and salt products.
