Abstract
This Executive Decree approves the Technical Regulation of Production and Certification of Ceral Seeds. The Regulation, consisting of 14 articles divided into three Chapters and completed by seven Annexes, establishes Technical Regulation for the Production and Certification of Cereal Seeds, which applies to the production and certification of this seed varieties for commercialization, regulating the object, scope and conditions to be satisfied by the crops. This Regulation shall apply to the production and certification of seed of cereals to be accepted for the marketing of varieties of the following genera and species: a) Rice - Oryza saliva L; b) Common wheat - Triticum aestivam L; c) Triticale - X Triticosecale Wittim; d) Sorghum (massambala) - Sorghum bicolor (L) Moench; e) Sorghum hybrids with Sudan herb - Sorghum bicolor (L) Moench X Sorghum Sudanese (Piper) Stapf; f) Massango - Pennicetum glaucum L; g) Maize - Zea mays L., other than sweetcorn and popcorn.
