Presidential Decree No. 93/16 approving the Regulation of the Law on Seeds.

This Law approves the Regulation of the Law on Seeds, approved by Law No. 7/05 of 11 August. The Regulation, consisting of 67 articles divided into ten Chapters, establishes the norms on the production, commercialization, import and export of seeds and quality seedlings, aiming to contribute to the increase of the production, agricultural productivity and to prevent the entry of seeds and seedlings harmful to agriculture in the country. In addition, it regulates the classification of seeds, the National Seed Service as National Seed Authority, Seed Committee, national catalog of varieties, seed production and seedlings, quality control and certification, inspection and offences and penalties regime.
