Abstract
This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the National Directorate for the Promotion of Tourism within the Ministry of Tourism (DNPT). This Regulation, consisting of 10 articles divided into four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned National Directorate. DNPT is the Ministry's body in charge of developing a sector strategy and coordinating, monitoring, evaluating the execution of marketing activities and encouraging the commercialization of tourism and the identification and dissemination of Angolan touristic destinations and products in the national, regional and international markets. DNPT has the following competencies: define the tourism marketing policy of Angola to promote it as a touristic destination of excellence and investment; monitor the dynamics of the national, regional and international tourism market, with the objective of monitoring the growth and competitiveness of Angola, in the regional and international context; prepare, propose, implement and evaluate strategies for the definition of markets to promote Angolan tourism; evaluate the competitiveness of Angolan tourism and destinations, as an activity to support the commercialization of tourism; collect and process sectoral statistical information as the basis for marketing strategy; etc.
