Presidential Decree No. 132/24 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MINPERMAR).

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MINPERMAR) under Presidential Legislative Decree No. 9/22 of 16 September related to the Regime for the Organization and Operation of the Auxiliary Bodies of the President of the Republic. This Statute, consisting of 24 articles divided into four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes, composition, duties and responsibilities of MINPERMAR, responsible for proposing, formulating, conducting, executing, evaluating, controlling and overseeing the policy for the management and planning of marine resources and sustainable fishing and aquaculture activities, salt production, research, experimentation and technological innovation in the area of the sea, prospecting, use, exploration and exploitation of aquatic resources, and a sea economy with a view to sustainable development.
