Presidential Decree No. 284/22 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MINPERMAR).

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources (MINPERMAR) under Presidential Legislative Decree No. 9/22 of 16 September related to the Regime for the Organization and Operation of the Auxiliary Bodies of the President of the Republic. This Statute, consisting of 22 articles divided into four Chapters and two Annexes, establishes, composition, duties and responsibilities of MINPERMAR, as the auxiliary Ministerial Department of the Executive Power, and responsible for proposing, formulating, conducting, implementing, evaluating, controlling and supervising the policy for the management of marine resources, fishing activities and sustainable aquaculture, salt production, research, experimentation and technological innovation in the area of the sea, exploration, use, exploitation and enhancement of aquatic resources, and sea economy, in a perspective of sustainable development.
