Presidential Decree No. 140/16 approving the Regulation on the Mandatory Submission of the Laboratory Analysis for products destined to human consumption.

This Presidential Decree approves the Regulation on mandatory submission to laboratory analysis of products destined to human consumption. This Regulation, consisting of 5 Chapters, 6 Annexes and 11 Tables, specifying all the hygiene and sanitary requirements to be satisfied by products destined to human consumption. In particular, it deals with the collection, retention period, the target samples and the procedures to be followed by the competent authorities to carry out laboratory analysis and for issuing reports on goods imported by Angola, the national production and the creation of the national Network of quality Control Laboratories. This Regulation aims to ensure the quality of goods and products, the development of the national productive sector, the competitiveness of domestic products, the balance of trade and food independence of Angola and defines the rules that should be observed for the coordination of laboratories responsible for carrying out these analysis.
