Presidential Decree No. 177/22 approving the Action Plan of the National Strategy for the Sea of Angola 2030.

This Presidential Decree approves the Action Plan of the National Strategy for the Sea of Angola 2030, implementing the actions to carry out the measures aimed at pursuing the specific sectoral objectives that embody the defined strategic objectives, within the framework of the general vision of the National Strategy for the Sea of Angola 2030 (ENMA). The Vision adopted assumes, as Principles and Values, the provisions of article 4 of the Constitutive Act of the African Union, namely, the sharing of information, communication, collaboration, cooperation and capacity building and coordination.
ENMA defines seven strategic objectives, which integrate the sectoral visions in a holistic perspective of Integrated Maritime Policy and underpin the Vision projected for 2030: a. Foster and diversify the maritime economy; b. Increase employment and professional qualifications at sea; c. Optimize means, instruments and mechanisms for maritime security and surveillance; d. Promote scientific knowledge, technological development and ocean culture; e. Promote and guarantee the good environmental status of the marine environment and the sustainable management of biological resources; f. Optimize the maritime space governance model and intersectoral coordination; g. Strengthen Angola's role in the international and regional context in maritime policies. A Table is attached to the text specifying all different activities divided by sector and specific objective. Specific Objective 1: Foster the integrated, coordinated and sustainable development of all sub-sectors in the fisheries sector with a view to maximizing their contribution to socio-economic development. Action 1.3.2 Sensitize and train women processors on food security issues. Measure 1.2 and Goal 1.1.3: Incorporate artisanal fisheries products into the formal commercial network, with gender inclusion policies.
