Presidential Decree No. 228/12 approving the Statute of Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI).

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of Ministry of Agriculture (MINAGRI). This Statute, consisting of 5 Chapters and 3 Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned Ministerial Department, entitled to: propose the design, implementation and monitoring of the agricultural policy and strategy, defined by the Executive level in a sustainable development perspective; to elaborate development programmes proposals, including food security to be integrated within the National General Development Plan; to support economic activities related to the production, processing, industrialization and trade of any products of silvo-pastoralism origin.
