Abstract
This Executive Decree approves the Regulation of the National Directorate of Fisheries and Aquaculture (DNPA) within the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries (MINADERP). This Regulation, consisting of 3 Chapters and 2 Annexes, establishes composition, functions, competencies and internal structure of the above mentioned National Direction, entitled: to guarantee the management, conservation and protection of aquatic biological resources, and aquatic ecosystem, allowing its sustainable exploitation, establishing efficient monitoring and controlling mechanisms on fisheries sector; to give advice on technical aspects of fishing vessels, which authorization of construction and modification must be approved by the MINADERP, in order to guarantee the increasing of the fishing fleet; to manage the fishing operations carried out within the Continental waters under National jurisdiction.
