Presidential Decree No. 253/10 creating the National Institute for Water Resources (INARH).

This Presidential Decree creates and approves the Statute of the National Institute for Water Resources. The Statute, consisting of 6 Chapters and 4 Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to: prepare the National water policy, control over its implementation, monitoring and evaluation; guarantee the water resources planning, aiming at their efficient and sustainable use; establish plans, programmes and projects, for the development, protection, conservation, preservation, valorisation and efficient use of water resources; elaborate and implement the Water Resources National Plan, according to the different water resources of each hydrographical basin, etc.
