Presidential Decree No. 43/18 approving the Statute of the Ministry of Planning.

This Presidential Decree approves the Statute of the Ministry of Planning. This Statute, consisting of 24 articles divided into four Chapters and three Annexes, establishes composition, duties and responsibilities of the above mentioned institution, entitled to perform the following activities: plan the national development by formulating proposals and coordinating the implementation of public policies for the development of the national economy and by coordinating actions in the area of economic integration, economic cooperation development and international business; participate in the implementation of policies and macroeconomic management; propose measures aimed at promoting sustainable economic development; ensure the structuring and define methodologies for the implementation of the National Planning System; coordinate the elaboration, monitoring and evaluation of the National Planning System's instruments; participate in the public investment programming process, monitor its implementation and carry out the respective evaluation; promote cooperatives as a means of sustainable development; coordinate the programming, management and implementation of the actions in the framework of the planning stages, etc.
