Abstract
This Presidential Decree, under Law No. 6-A/04 on Aquatic Biological Resources, establishes the Management Measures for Marine and Inland Fisheries, Aquaculture and Salt production for the Year 2025. These measures aim at: ensuring a balance between the exploitation and conservation of aquatic biological resources; promoting sustainable aquaculture, and improving salt production and its quality. In particular, these measures, consisting of 43 articles, divided into nine Chapters, regulate the fishing sectors for the year 2025. The Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources is responsible for coordinating and supervising the implementation of the management policy for aquatic biological resources, as well as the salt production and quality control policy. In particular, they regulate for 2025: Total Allowable Catch (TAC) for the semi-industrial and industrial fishing sector; Fishing quota; Fishing effort limit; Bycatch; Minimum sizes of captured species; Minimum mesh size allowed per fishing gear; Closed seasons; Reserved and fishing areas; Management measures applicable to vessels; Special measures for the management of marine and inland fisheries, Aquaculture, Salt management, etc.
